# Highlighting in your notes

To highlight items in your notes, simply select the text and click on the highlighter icon in the editor. You can then choose the color of your choice.

All the notes you highlight will be visible in [**summary view**](https://github.com/AmaplexSoftware/amanote-gitbook-user-guide-en/blob/main/getting-started/resume-view.md) with the option of filtering by color.
